Hi, my name is Vanessa Prada, I’m from Puerto Rico. I’m a mom of 3 kids, 2 boys and 1 girl, we are a military family. I worked for 14 years as an Occupational Therapist Assistant with most of my experience with the pediatric population on the autism spectrum. I was a college level professor for two years; teaching is my passion as well as the rehabilitation of patients with neurological conditions. It was difficult news to find out that our child would be born with a medical condition. It changed my whole life. I went from being on the health professional seat to the seat of the mom with a kid with a disability. I have always been grateful about having the knowledge to help advocate for my child. I discovered PEAK Parent Center and I’m so happy to work in a place where I can help my Latino community and be part of a team, who understands this beautiful journey of being a parent with a special kid.
