Patricia joined the PEAK team in 2002 in response to a job posting. What started out as employment quickly evolved into passion when she got to see the amazing work PEAK does with families, children with disabilities, and professionals. Through Patricia’s involvement with PEAK, she has learned many things but most importantly that we ALL deserve to be included and have rich opportunities to learn, to have fun, and to live full lives. Patricia wishes that more employers would give people with disabilities the opportunity to work and has seen first hand the amazing things people with disabilities can accomplish when they are given the opportunity and any necessary accommodations. Patricia’s favorite color is black, and she loves living in Colorado, spending time with her family, cold weather, puzzles, and cats! Patricia is very grateful to be working at PEAK Parent Center and to know so many amazing people.
Patricia se unió al equipo PEAK en el 2002 en respuesta a una oferta de empleo. Lo que comenzó como un simple trabajo, rápidamente se convirtió en una pasión cuando pudo ver el increíble trabajo que PEAK hace con las familias, niños con discapacidades, y profesionales. Patricia ha aprendido muchas cosas a través de su participación en PEAK, pero la más importante es que TODOS merecemos ser incluidos y tener excelentes oportunidades para aprender, divertirnos y vivir una vida plena. Patricia quiere que más patrones den a las personas con discapacidades la oportunidad de trabajar y ha sido testigo de primera mano de las increíbles cosas que la gente con discapacidades pueden lograr cuando se les da la oportunidad y las adaptaciones necesarias. El color favorito de Patricia es el negro, le encanta vivir en Colorado, pasar tiempo con su familia, el clima frío, los rompecabezas, y los gatos. Patricia está muy agradecida de estar trabajando en el Centro PEAK para los Padres y conocer a tanta gente increíble.
