My journey with people with disabilities started at a young age with my precious cousin who had Cerebral Palsy and significant developmental disabilities. After high school graduation I “fell” into a para educator job with a school that specifically served children with disabilities. Working as a para educator for almost 25 years, I obtained my Bachelors of Psychology and Masters in Special Education. Over the past 7 years I have turned to Parent Advising and Disability Advocacy. However, my favorite “job” is mom! I am a mother of 4 amazing children, 2 who have invisible disabilities. I absolutely love serving people with disabilities and educating families on how to advocate, navigate systems, and be a voice within this population!
