Daryl Trujillo is honored to serve as a board member of PEAK Parent Center. She has always felt a special calling and deep commitment to working with people of varying abilities, having grown up among family members with autism and cerebral palsy.
A retired educator with over 31 years of experience, Daryl has served in various roles, including teacher, school psychologist, school district administrator, and early childhood program manager at the Colorado Department of Education. Throughout her long and rewarding career, she has dedicated herself to supporting children and families.
Daryl currently works as the Advocacy Coordinator at The Arc Pikes Peak Region. In this role, she oversees the Advocacy Department and the Succeeding in School and Life Parent Empowerment program. A bilingual Spanish speaker, Daryl is passionate about advocating for children and families who have been historically disenfranchised and who face extreme social challenges and a lack of inclusion across systems.
As a board member, Daryl is committed to advancing PEAK’s mission and vision. She works to foster innovative, creative, and systemic opportunities and partnerships, both locally and statewide, and is dedicated to ensuring the achievement of these outcomes.
