PEAK Parent Center Conference on Inclusive Education
Join PEAK Parent Center on October 13–14, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Grand Junction for Colorado’s statewide Conference on Inclusive Education.
Centered around the theme We Belong Here: From Presence to Participation, the conference explores how we can create schools where students with disabilities are not only present, but fully engaged, valued, and included as members of their school communities.
Held during PEAK Parent Center’s 40th anniversary year, the conference brings together a statewide community committed to creating more opportunities for students with disabilities, building on four decades of partnership with families, educators, and communities to improve outcomes for children and youth with disabilities across Colorado.
Over two days, families, educators, self-advocates, administrators, service providers, healthcare professionals, and community partners from across the state will come together to learn, share ideas, build connections, and strengthen inclusive practices.
Featured Keynote Speakers
Rebekah Taussig –Disability advocate, educator, bestselling author of Sitting Pretty, and nationally recognized speaker (A copy of her book is included with registration.)
Glenna Wright-Gallo – Vice President of Policy, Everway, and former U.S. Assistant Secretary of Education for Special Education and Rehabilitative Services
Attendees will also choose from a variety of breakout sessions featuring practical strategies and fresh ideas on topics including:

A vendor fair featuring organizations, resources, and self-advocate entrepreneurs will be open throughout the conference.
