This program presented by PEAK Parent Center is for Department of Defense ID Card Holders. This training provides participants with a foundational knowledge of Individualized Education Programs and Individualized Family Service Plans. It will cover the process and differences.
The IEP, Individualized Education Program, is a written educational plan developed by a team that lists the specific services a student with a disability will be provided in order to receive a free appropriate public education. The IEP team includes the parent, school personnel and other individuals who know about the student and the student’s educational needs.
The IFSP, Individualized Family Service Plan, is a written document that outlines the early intervention services of a child from birth to age 3. The IFSP focuses on supporting the child’s development and helping the family support that growth
