Bernadette Lara is the Executive Operations Specialist supporting leadership operations and cross-team collaboration to advance the organization’s mission. A Colorado Springs native, she brings over 15 years of experience across education, healthcare, and human services, along with a strong passion for advocacy and serving diverse communities. Bernadette is a proud mother of six children, ages 5 to 21, including one child who is Deaf, and she is fluent in American Sign Language. Her lived experience shapes her deep commitment to supporting families and building inclusive systems of care. Guided by her faith and active involvement with Amazing Church Colorado, she leads with compassion, purpose, and a heart to serve. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her family, volunteering in her church, community, and creative outlets like diamond art and crafts.
