Jennifer Kent

Board of Directors
PEAK Board Team

Jennifer Kent joined the PEAK Board of Directors in September 2025. With a desire to ensure all students with disabilities receive the education they require for success, Jennifer is excited to serve on the board. Her professional history includes a bachelor’s degree in art education, a Masters of Arts in teaching, and 6 years in secondary public education. Upon the birth of her oldest child in 2009, Jennifer left the classroom to focus on the needs of her family. Her oldest child, Henry, was born with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Learning how to best advocate for Henry became on-the-job training as Jennifer and her husband navigated doctors, therapists, and eventually schools. As a military family their children attended seven different school districts across 3 states and Washington, D.C.. The education Jennifer received while advocating for Henry’s educational needs has included districts with exceptional special education programs and districts that have many opportunities for improvement. These varied experiences, as well as her formal education provide Jennifer with a unique perspective. She is grateful for the opportunity to use while serving on the PEAK Board.

In her personal life, Jennifer and her family have a hobby farm where they raise animals and try to grow vegetables. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons playing games, laughing, and dancing in the kitchen.
