Virtual Book Club for Parents & Caregivers in Colorado

Join the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) and PEAK Parent Center for an engaging virtual book club designed to help families support literacy at home for school-age children with significant support needs. You’ll explore practical, accessible reading and writing strategies, connect with parents across Colorado, and share real-life literacy experiences. Participants receive a free copy of the book, along with weekly chapters, videos, and resources to review before each virtual meeting.

This book club is co-facilitated by a PEAK Parent Advisor and a CDE Significant Support Needs Instructional Coach.

Who should attend:
Parents and caregivers of Colorado children who qualify for Extended Evidence Outcomes (EEOs) or Alternate Achievement Standards, including children with multiple disabilities and complex communication needs (with or without AAC).
