Daenna DeHaan

Board Member
PEAK Board Team

Daenna is a mother of two teenage daughters. Her oldest daughter has a rare  eurological disorder called Rett Syndrome. Her youngest daughter is just as special as she was identified at a young age of being Gifted. Advocating for her daughters and all of the kids in her community is a huge passion of hers. She believes all kids should feel included, accepted, and loved by their peers and by their community. Daenna is also a leader in the community, showing her daughters the importance of building together and being a positive resource. Daenna is the Chair of one of the largest school districts in the regions’ SEAC (Special Education Advisory Committee), where she advocates for equality and inclusion, not only for her daughters but also for all of the students in her school district. As the Chair of this committee she strives to be a resource for her community as well as Inspire and Educate as to best inclusive practices. The committee also strives to partner with our surrounding school districts and inclusion allies such as PEAK Parent to really get the word and the resources out to the whole community. Daenna came to PEAK Parent as she began to restart the SEAC that had been dormant for many years.

PEAK Parent partnered with SEAC to create a strong foundation of leadership. The SEAC is in its seventh year and still going strong! Daenna is grateful and excited to work with PEAK Parent along this journey for Inclusion for all!
