The Region D PTAC at PEAK Parent Center helps Parent Centers to build capacity to provide information and training to families of children with disabilities and to manage the administrative challenges of running nonprofit Parent Centers. Learn more about the Region D PTAC!

Technical Assistance Services Available to Region D Parent Centers: 

  • Individualized Technical Assistance in agency and grant management and program content areas
  • Connections to regional and national resources, including OSEP, Technical Assistance and Dissemination Projects and other PTACs in the Parent Center Network
  • Assistance with outreach to better serve under-represented families
  • Technical Assistance on working collaboratively with State Education and Part C Lead Agencies
  • Facilitation of strategic technology planning and connections to cutting edge non-profit technology resources
  • Board training and development
  • Serve as an information broker, connecting Parent Centers to best practice resources that address Parent Center needs
  • Development of Individualized Center Assistance Planning
  • Monthly Topical Director Teleconferences and Directors’ listserv
  • Region D electronic newsletter
  • Annual Regional Meeting of Parent Centers in Region D
  • Region D PTAC website
  • Site visits and trainings for Parent Centers in Region D (as funds are available)
