The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) requires that each State establish and maintain an advisory panel for the purpose of advising the State special education staff regarding the education of eligible children with disabilities. The State Advisory Panel Website provides information and resources for special education advisory panels, often called SEACs (Special Education Advisory Committees), and Interagency Coordinating Councils. The information and resources is available to help support members of both state and local advisory panels!
