Toys are rarely designed with the needs of those with different abilities in mind. By making simple modifications to the electronics of toys, they can be enjoyed by children with physical disabilities. This 3 hour training is designed to teach participants the basics of switch adapting simple, battery operated toys. All tools, toys, materials and instruction will be provided by MaxMods and hosted by Assistive Technology Partners. Participants will have the opportunity to purchase the toy they adapt in advance or on the day of the training. Any unpurchased toys will be generously donated to a child with a disability.
